Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, R, caught a large striped bass April 17, 2006, while spending some leisure time on the Always Wet. It was Steele’s first catch of the day and Capt. Denny estimated it weighed 40 pounds. “It’s a good day here on the Eastern Shore” said Lt. Gov. Michael Steele.

The Crew of Always Wet Fishing Charters captured the 2003 record, in the Maryland Charter Boat Association, for the biggest rockfish caught. This impressive rockfish weighed a stunning 54.3lbs. with a 51.5-in. length, and a 32.5-in. girth.
