Fishing Salmon

Fishing is very interested. Almost every person like fishing. I like fishing salmon, so if you like it too, here are some information that I consider useful. Maybe the most popular places for fishing salmon are Oregon, Washington and Alaska. But going to Alaska can be expensive and problematic, so I recommend going in Oregon or Washington. There are 624 populations of salmon in Washington. Here are some of them.

Chinook or King salmon, is most common. It can reach sizes of up to 135lbs. Although they are the biggest species of salmon, big King Salmons are rare, and most of them are heavy around 50 pounds. They are spawning in rivers like Columbia and Snake. They swim thousands of miles to reach their spawning grounds. After that, they are dying. So, the best way for fishing is to find isolated and small streams, because King salmons use them often. You can fish until they’re traveling to the spawning grounds is ended.

Coho or Silver salmon is much smaller. It can have size from 6 lbs. up to 31 lbs. They are very popular in Puget Sound, but can be found in coastal streams and even urban places, because they are looking for clean and cold water. They are spawning in small coastal streams and big rivers. Water must be slow or mid-velocity. They use small water streams to get to the right place for their spawning, so, you can find them in every small stream. If you want to fish them, you know where to find them.
